God's crazy about you, even when you fail

This summer, I'm binging on an excerpt from the Apostle Paul's letter to the church in Rome, Romans chapter 8, to be exact. I've read it repeatedly, each time gaining more insight and understanding.

One of the passages from this letter that holding me down in this season of my life; a season of transition, uncertainty, and a lot of trial and error, is Romans 8:1.
 
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.  
 
I'm pretty familiar with this verse, but during my summer binge-fest, I looked more in-depth at the word condemnation.

Guess what I discovered? Ready? It's a game-changer.

 One of the definitions of condemn is "to disapprove of " Can I tell you...mind blown and transformed.
 
As I journaled this discovery, I accessed another level of freedom that unlocked an area of my soul- the part that struggles with the fear of failure, getting wrong, disappointing God, and others. It's one thing to say God doesn't condemn, but it takes it to another level when I realized God does not disapprove of me! Even writing it feels so freeing!

He reassured me that NO MATTER WHAT, I am HIS and HE is mine. He will NEVER condemn me. He never DISAPPROVES of me. My failures, mistakes, and even my sinful actions do not disqualify me from His love, grace, and most of all, acceptance.

The same is true for you. God never looks at you with disappointment in His eyes. Our failures may surprise us, but they never surprise Him.
